San Juan Soda Company in Lake City

Apparently their teenage staff are “unable to wear masks”, or gloves, while serving food to their customers. Clearly they have zero sense of responsibility for their small community’s public health. We left immediately. Very disappointing.

Unbelievable sodas and ice cream but the topping was the excellent young lady who took great care of my family! We'll be back!

Gotta love Lake City and their sweet little shops. This is one of those great places that has a little bit of something for everyone. Lots of unique pottery, kitchen ware, gifts. Items are of higher quality. This is an old time soda fountain. It does not sell bottled gourmet sodas. You create your soda combo or coke float and they make it for you. We loved it. My favorite was our second visit which was in the evening and we sat on the back patio and watched about 30 plus hummingbirds of all varieties buzz the feeders. Was so fun to watch.

Love San Juan Soda Co.! The have beautiful items for sale - many handmade. And the icecream/soda shop at the back is fantastic for an afternoon treat. There's a sunny little patio, too. We stop in every time we're in Lake City.

Incredible ice-cream and very high quality decorations and souvenirs! The staff is always very friendly and the old time soda shop feel is hard to beat. My wife and I will drive 20 minutes into town just for the ice cream!

Definitely worth a stop. Their ice cream is locally made and worn a trip (we loved our cup of mocha almond).Also a fun store to explore; we picked up a cute Polish pottery mug as our souvenir

The building is beautifully restored. There is a great selection of gifts in the front. The ice cream selection was fantastic too. I had a wonderful double chocolate ice cream soda, hubby had a tin roof sundae, uncle had salted caramel ice cream with chocolate fudge sauce, and aunt had double scoop cone. All were fantastic. There is a cute little garden with outdoor seating as well.

Best ice cream in Colorado

Friendly service. Delicious ice cream! We had a scoop of rocky road and a scoop of salted caramel and it was a lot of ice cream! It was just under $8 (no cone). Best rocky road I’ve had in a long time! It was especially pleasant to sit outside and watch the hummingbirds!

Every time we are in Lake City we have to stop at San Juan Soda for ice cream. They are always busy but well worth the wait.

Always super fast, friendly service no matter how long the line is. They are quick and efficient! Their ice cream is delicious and always a highlight of my summer.

Spectacular! Ordered fresh sqeezed lemonade to order. (Easy on the real sugar.) I would say I have NEVER had better lemonade!

Delicious, generous, scoops of ice cream and sherbets. Only difficulty is deciding on the flavor. Best to go with a group and spoons for trading bites.

Awesome place! Super friendly staff! Black Walnut ice cream was really good! Lots of ice cream on the single scoop. (Pictured here) Ihad the pralines and cream also and it was great. You can also get half scoops of you can't decide.

So many choices and it’s all good - ice cream, sorbet, floats, malts, limeade. We come every summer after spending a day on the lake. I love all the gifts available in front, local artisans and unique items I can’t find everywhere. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Even though it looks crowded, the service is fast as you shouldn’t have to wait long in line.

OMG the portions! Had I known the generosity in advance, I'd have rained us in to a single scoop to share! R couldn't finish his combo and insisted on my getting a scoop for myself as well. I can't bring myself to regret eating so much great ice cream while wandering the picturesque streets of Lake City. I can, however, strongly recommend sharing a single scoop of the peach with someone you adore either inside this adorable little soda fountain, or strolling about the park right in front of the shop on any given sunny afternoon

I just adore this sweet shop. Stunning gift items - that I buy for myself and others - from creative jewelry, custom pottery, glass, etc. An extensive variety of lovely delights! Their coffee, ice cream, sorbet & sherbets are divine & delish. I visit this shop every year that I am in Lake City.

The soda bar is amazing. They have everything. You need multiple visits to try everything.

First time in Lake City and was told you couldn’t forgo this spot. Boy were they right. The truly homemade root beer float was so delicious I had to come back later that day to try out the ice cream.

The owners of the shop is my Great Aunt and Uncle they are so sweet. I love coming to visit them every summer! Such good flavors and tastes, good ice cream!

Wow... Just wow. Bring your appetite because the ice cream is delicious and served in huge portions. Don't let the long lines scare you the staff here works very efficiently and gets the line moved through quickly. It is worth the wait!

Family run/operated business. Great to see everyone participating. The young man serving us was young but dedicated and won us over. We are sold on this special place.
